Born and raised in Queensland Australia, Toby hopped on a plane to Canada to pursue his passion for mountain biking. For his ‘6 month trip’ he purchased his first camera, fast forward 10 years later he’s still in Canada practising photography. He built his career in action sports working with some of the best athletes in the world and has travelled continents in pursuit of new ideas. Four years ago he started to branch out to other areas of his field, including wedding photography. Always looking to improve his craft he plays with many areas of photography even returning to its roots and shooting film. Shortly after marrying his wife Katie they started photographing weddings in Whistler BC. Their joint love of adventure has brought them all over the globe and they love working with couples that share their passion for exploring.
Katie, born and raised in BC has always been in touch with the outdoors. From growing up on a small farm, horseback riding to competitive snowboarding she’s always after that spark in life. No surprise she sought out a career as a pilot. Meeting Toby ignited her love of photography and she learned everything she knows about the art from him, creating a seamless blend of their styles. Katie is Toby’s regular second shooter and copilot for life.
Having eloped in a helicopter themselves, Katie loves a creative wedding or intimate elopement. At the top of a mountain, overseas or an untraditional twist, she’s always up for something unique and out of the norm. She loves catching the little moments in between rather than posing photos.
